Mollenhauer Modern Alto 5920 in Rosewood with Modern voicing

The collaboration between recorder player Nik Tarasov and maker Joachim Paetzold resulted in 1996 in the development of the Modern Alto. It is the first modern recorder that follows the principle of Harmonic recorders with pure harmonics and a long bore. It has an incredibly strong and powerful low register and a range extending well into the third octave (without using the knee). There are keys for F and F#.

NOTE: The Modern Alto is also available with an E-foot, and three keys. Modern Altos are available in Pearwood, Grenadilla and Rosewood. Please enquire for more details and prices: info@woodenrecorders.co.nz.
