Kung Studio Tenors

Kung is a Swiss firm of recorder makers, who celebrated their 75th anniversary in 2008. Their workshops are in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The recorders are machine made using high end technology, then all the instruments are finished by hand and played to check sound and tuning.

The Studio series, initially intended for relatively inexperienced players, has become very popular with all levels of players requiring a reasonably priced quality instrument.

The Studio range has an attractive modern exterior profile, derived from the usual shape of a baroque instrument but simplified and refined.  Studio recorders have a full sound, balanced tone, and their warm sound makes them ideal for ensemble playing. They have very easy response in the extreme high register and good solid middle and lower registers.

Studio instruments are an excellent choice for entry-level and improving players wanting instruments that are equally suitable for solo and group playing.
