Moeck 5455 Hotteterre Tenor in Boxwood with antique patina

The Hotteterre family was a large and influential family of instrument makers, performers and composers based in France in the 17th and 18th centuries. This recorder is based on instruments in the Musee de la Musique in Paris. This recorder has a versatile two and a half octave range and is best suited to solo playing with its warm, powerful and highly expressive sound. The extended range provides opportunity to explore the baroque flute repertoire alongside original recorder literature and the instrument’s versatility is further highlighted by the proven success of its use in the modern repertoire.
